- Four separate masterclass opportunities are available to harp students 25 and under who are registered participants in the AHS, Inc. 9th Summer Institute. Each masterclass will be two hours in length and will accommodate a maximum of 6 students per class, 20 minutes per performance. Note: All masterclasses are open to registered institute attendees as audience members (application and fee are only for students who wish to perform in the class).

Emily Mitchell (CPE Bach Sonata in G Major: limit of 3 performers, each to perform one movement) - Application and registration fee for acceptance into an Institute masterclass will be handled separately from all other Institute registration and fees. Please note address below to mail master class application and fee.
- Only highly qualified and prepared students will be considered for masterclass performances and application must be endorsed and signed by the student’s private teacher. Students should be prepared to present a polished, memorized performance of their piece. Students are asked to bring an original score of their piece for reference (no photocopied music will be permitted).
- Selected performers will be notified via email or phone by May 1, 2011. Students who are not selected for masterclass performance will receive complete refund of masterclass fee by May 15, 2011.
- Application along with enclosed masterclass fee of $50 must be postmarked by April 1, 2011. Masterclass fees are payable by check only. Please make check payable to “AHS 2011 Institute” and indicate “Masterclass Fee” on the memo line.
- A Lyon & Healy concert grand harp and a Lyon & Healy Troubadour will be provided by the Institute for the masterclasses.
- Mail completed application, along with teacher endorsement and signature, as well $50 performer fee to:
